Signs You Need a New boiler

Check out these signs to see if it's time to replace your old rusty boiler...

You’ve had your boiler for 10+ years

Boilers are built to last, but if you've had your existing boiler for anything above 10-15 years, it might be time to get it replaced. New boilers are efficient, come with extended warranties/guarantees that cover you for parts and labour and are easy to source parts for if it ever does breakdown.

Your boiler efficiency is B-G Grade

The majority of new boilers are A Grade rated, meaning they are at least 90% efficient. Your current boiler may only be a G Grade, meaning it is less than 70% efficient.
To put this into perspective, with an A Grade boiler, you only lose 10p for every £1 spent. However, with a G Grade boiler, you lose at least 30p for every £1 spent. Whilst the difference may seem small initially, over the years you will notice a huge difference in your energy bills.

Breakdowns are a regular occurrence

If your boiler needs fixing what feels like every 5 minutes, it might be cheaper to replace it as opposed to constantly repairing it. Installing a new boiler might be pricey (although we offer financing on new boilers to counteract this cost), but the cost of regular repairs will soon mount up and can leave you with an equally large bill.
It would be much better to spend your hard earned cash on a brand new, reliable boiler, rather than constantly spending it on replacement parts and call outs.

Noisy boiler / radiators

If your boiler is making rattling, banging or gurgling noises, we'd recommend calling out an engineer ASAP. Boiler noises suggest that there's trapped air in the system or that there's a fault with other parts like the heat exchanger. Either way, not resolving this issue early on can lead to serious problems if left to develop over time.
